Young People and the Second World War Project


The main objective of this project is to encourage school students to carry out interviews with people who experienced the Second World War as young people (aged 5 to 18).

Level: Students aged 12-18.

Language: English

Authors: Students, assisted by their teachers.

Submissions

Write a brief biography of the person being interviewed.

Possible subjects covered in the interviews:

experience of being bombed,
evacuation,
relationship with armed forces and resistance movements,
food rationing,
impact of the war on the family,
collecting war artefacts.

You are invited to include illustrations of the person being interviewed. It is better to use photographs of the person taken between 1939 and 1945.
