The Rodney battleship was completed in 1927. It served in the Home Fleet and joined King George V, the Dorsetshire and the Norfork in the attack on the Bismarck and on 26th May 1941.
In 1944 the Rodney provided bombardment of German defences during the the D-Day landings. In the later stages of the Second World War she served in the Far East.
