Mihaly Biro
Mihaly Biro was born in Budapest, Hungary on 30th November 1886. After studying art in Berlin, Paris and London, Biro returned to Budapest became famous for his social protest posters. Biro was active in the Hungarian revolutionary movement and became political poster commissar of the Hungarian Socialist Republic in 1919.
After the overthrow of the government, Biro moved to the United States. Mihaly Biro returned to Hungary in 1947 and died in Budapest on 30th November 1948.
