Charles Pears
Charles Pears, born in 1873, developed a career as a marine painter. During the First World War Pears was recruited by Lord Beaverbrook, the Minister of Information as a war artist. Most of his ninety-three pictures featured the Royal Navy. Pears died in 1958.
