Lawson Wood

Lawson Wood was born in London in 1878. After studying at the Slade Art School he became chief artist at the magazine publishers Arthur Pearson Ltd (1896-1902).

Wood's work also appeared in the Graphic, Punch Magazine and Illustrated London News. He also illustrated a number of books including Old Nursery Rhymes (1931), Lawson's Wood's Fun Fair (1931) and The Merry Monkeys (1946).

Lawson Wood died in 1957.
