Attila Szigethy was born
in Hungary
in 1911. He became involved
in politics and as a member of the Peasant Party was elected to Parliament.
He was also Chairman of the National Council of West Hungary.
During the Hungarian
Uprising he supported
the leadership of Imre
Nagy. He formed
a rebel army and attempted to resist the Red
Army sent into Hungary by Nikita Khrushchev.
Attila Szigethy was arrested
and it was claimed that he committed suicide in prison in 1958.
