(1) Read Simon de Montfort. Draw up a time-line showing the important events in Simon de Montfort's life.

(2) Simon de Montfort only held power for a brief period of time (May 1264 to August 1265). However, what he did during this period had long-term effects on the way England was governed. Explain (i) the short-term consequences and (ii) the long-term consequences, of the changes he made to Parliament.
