Alexander
Soloviev,
the son of a government official, was born in St. Petersburg in 1846.
He attended St. Petersburg University before becoming a school teacher
in 1867.
Soloviev
became involved in revolutionary politics and on 14th April, 1879,
he tried to kill Alexander II. His
attempt failed and he was executed on 28th May, 1879.
