Jose Ortega y Gasset was a Spanish philosopher and humanist who greatly
influenced the cultural and literary renaissance of Spain in the 20th
century.
In 1929, he published his
most celebrated book La Rebelión de
las Masas (The Revolt of the Masses), in which he advocated
building an European Union.
