Edward
Walker was born in 1612. During the Civil
War he
was appointed by Charles I as his Secretary
of War. In 1644 he became a member of the king's Privy Council.
At
the end of the war Walker fled to France where he served the future
Charles II. While in exile he wrote
Historical Discourses Upon Several Occasions.
Sir Edward Walker died in 1677.
