Edwina
Dumm,
the daughter
of a journalist, was born in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, in 1893. After
taking a correspondence course in cartooning obtained work with the
Columbus
Monitor.
Dumm was a strong supporter of women's suffrage and this was reflected
in the cartoons she produced. Dumm died in 1990.
