George Gresham played for Gainsborough Town. In 1895 Arnold Hills, the owner of the Thames Iron Works, decided to establish his own football team. Gresham joined the club and played in at least 21 games over the next three years. He also scored goals against the Royal Engineers, Uxbridge, Fulham and Chesham. He also scored twice against Arsenal in a friendly on 16th April, 1896. |
