Richard "Dickie" Pudan played as an amateur for Clapton before signing for West Ham in 1900. Pudan only had two games in the 1900-01 season: Bristol City and Swindon Town. He won back his place in November, 1901, but after only seven FA and league games he was sold to Bristol Rovers. Later he moved to Newcastle United and appeared in the 1908 FA Cup Final. The following year he was signed by Leicester City. Pudan retired in 1910 and for a while he was the manager of Huddersfield Town. Pudan later became a successful businessman.
