Bill Wildman joined Everton in 1902. However he struggled to get into the first team and in 1906 he was signed by Syd King. He joined a defence that included Tommy Allison, George Kitchen, Frank Piercy, David Gardner and Len Jarvis. During the 1906-07 season the team only conceded 41 goals in 38 games. The following season he was so badly injured in a game against Tottenham Hotspur (7th September, 1907) that he was forced into retirement. |
