Flatheads

Flatheads was the name given to several different tribes which practised the custom of flattening the heads of their children in infancy. This included the Chinook, the Salish and many tribes that lived on Vancover Island. Today the Flatheads live on a reservation in the Rocky Mountains of Montana.
